A group of ten original vintage photographs taken at the Tehran Conference between 28 November and 1 December 1943.
Taken during the strategy meeting between Joseph Stalin, Franklin D. Roosevelt and Winston Churchill, the collection shows portraits, group photos and a photo of the Soviet Embassy in Tehran, where the conference took place. One photo portrait shows Winston Churchill sitting and the other shows Joseph Stalin standing, looking away from the camera. The group photos show Stalin and Roosevelt posing with army officers in front of the building, Churchill's and Stalin's hands upraised during the presention of the Stalingrad sword in the reception room with Anthony Eden and Vyacheslav Molotov among the attendees, Churchill greeting, and Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill at a dinner party at the British Legation in Tehran on the occasion of Churchill's 69th birthday, as well as Churchill's full-length photo in the party room.
A bit curled, otherwise well preserved.
