Rare, final work of the Chieti historian Gennaro Ravizza (1766-1836), published posthumously. From the library of the Ducs de Luynes at the Château de Dampierre: their bookplate reproducing the arms of Charles Marie d'Albert de Luynes (1783-1839), 7th Duc de Luynes, on pastedown; inscribed to the Duc de Luynes within a label on the revserse of the title page (a gift from a learned society in Bari, dated 31 August 1842). ICCU lists merely 2 copies in Italian libraries (Biblioteca nazionale Vittorio Emanuele III, Naples; Biblioteca provinciale Scipione e Giulio Capone, Avellino).
