Printed menu for the 14th Saint Vincent Tournantes, organized by Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin (Fraternity of Knights of the Wine-Tasting Cup). The Saint Vincent Tournantes is a wine festival organized by the Confrérie and celebrated every year in a winemaking village of Burgundy since 1938. The festival begins with the procession of St Vincent and ends with a banquet at which traditional local dishes are served with Burgundy wines. The present menu was created for the Tournantes held in Fixin et Brochon, on 25 January 1958. The left page presents the general order of the night, while the right page lists the six-course menu. The menu includes traditional dishes such as "Les Quenelles de Brochet a la Fagon", "Les Pieds de Cochon Farcis et Truffés", and "Les Coquelets de Bresse en Barbouille", served with such wines as "Montagny 1955", "Clos-Vougeot 1949", and "Volnay 1953". The menu also notes that the induction of new "knights" would take place during the night and a sparkling "Blanc de Blancs de Bourgogne" would be served during the ceremony. The woodcut on the first page was designed by Jacques Sollier.
