Copied in the 14th century, this early manuscript comprises a work on Hanafi jurisprudence by Jalal al-Din ibn 'Umar al-Khabbazi (d. 1291 CE), either Manar al-Usulayn or possibly Al-Mughni fi Usul al-Fiqh. The scribe who completed this work signed his named as Ahmad ibn Amir Dawud ibn Ibrahim.

Al-Khabbazi was from Khujand, in modern Tajikistan, and studied in Bukhara with ‘Ala al-Din ‘Abd al-‘Aziz Bukhari, an expert in legal methodology ("usul al-fiqh"), who is mentioned in the penultimate folio of this manuscript. Most of al-Khabbazi's life was spent in Damascus, where he taught until his death at the end of the 13th century CE. Completed less than sixty years later, this manuscript is therefore a relatively early copy of this work.
