Robertson, William. Thesaurus Linguae Sanctae [...]: sive concordantiale lexicon hebraeo-latino-biblicum [...].

London, Samuel Roycroft f. George Sawbridge, 1680.

4to. (16), 1328 pp. Contemporary full vellum with handwritten spine title.

First edition. "This was used largely by Chr. Stock and J. Fischer in their 'Clavis linguae sanctae', Leipzig, 1753" (DNB). The lexicographer and oriental scholar W. Robertson (d. 1686) studied at Edinburgh. "From 1653 to 1680 he lived in the city of London and taught Hebrew. In 1680 he was appointed university teacher of Hebrew at Cambridge at a salary of 20 pounds a year" (ibid.).

A small, remargined edge flaw to the title-page; old library stamp. Light worming near the end, otherwise a good and clean copy in a fine and massive 17th century vellum binding.

DNB XVI, 1309, 8.
