Third edition of this frequently reprinted work (first published in Paris in 1684). The plates (mostly by T. Doesburgh and A. de Winter) show a map of classical Rome, costumes, circus games, a triumphal procession, coins, etc.

Condition

Occasionally slightly browned due to paper; altogether a pretty copy in an attractive contemporary vellum binding.
