Fine Venetian reprint of the Maurine edition published in Paris and the Hague in 1742, edited by Prudent Maran (1683-1762). "This is by far the best edition, in all repects, and [...] was reprinted at Venice in 1747, folio" (Dibdin). "Diese vorzügliche Ausgabe enthält einen nach Handschriften verbesserten Text und eine verbesserte lateinische Übersetzung, sowie höchst schätzenswerthe Prolegomena, nebst kritischen und erklärenden Anmerkungen unter dem Text" (Hoffmann).

Printed in two-column Greek and Latin parallel text. Slight browning and waterstaining; occasional worming in lower corner (not touching text). Upper spine-end damaged.
