Scarce work, produced in the early months of the reign of Emperor Francis II, during the death throes of the late 18th century's "erweiterte Pressfreiheit" (extended freedom of the press) in the Habsburg Empire. A second part, entitled "Revolutions-Almanach von 1794", appeared in 1794. The present volume includes capsule characterizations of the figureheads of the French Revolution and a terminological discussion of the Revolution's jargon, such as "aristocrat", "equality", "human rights", "freedom of thought", and "religion". With 15 full-page engravings depicting leaders of the French Revolution, Oliver Cromwell, etc., and a subscribers' list.

Front wrapper and first few leaves attached loosely by cords, rear wrapper lacking, hence final leaf very dusty, occasional minor toning but plates clean and fresh.
