Wedekind, cabaret artist and groundbreaking dramatist, writes to his theatrical colleague Otto Eisenschitz about his peripatetic life-circumstances, the Leipzig premiere of his new play "Erdgeist" ("ich weiß noch nicht, ob ich es als einen Erfolg betrachten kann"), and his hopes that his company, the Ibsen-Theater, might return to Vienna for a guest engagement. Wedekind discusses his brother, then in Paris, and recalls fondly times spent together in Berlin.
Folded for mailing; small tear at one fold and one corner slightly rumpled.
