A fine set of plates, with extensive scholarly commentaries by three specialists, showing not only a wealth of Chinese and and Japanese, but also Arabic ceramics from Austrian princely and noble collections. The Middle-Eastern works are mainly in the Hispano-Mauric tradition of medieval Spain. Includes an illustrated essay by Josef Karabacek on Muslim ceramics.
Occasional slight foxing to wide margins of plates, otherwise well-preserved.
