8th edition. The physicist A. H. Paulian (1722-1801) taught at the Jesuit college of Avignon, where his great dictionary of physics was first published in 1761. He had developed the word from his one-volume ‘Dictionnaire de physique portatif’ (1758). The plates depict geometric constructions and bodies, models of light refraction, astronomical models, etc.

Front covers slightly rubbed (traces of removed labels), otherwise a good, clean copy. Rare in all editions.
