Inspired by opera and ballet themes, Renouard conributed to the decoration of the Paris Opéra Garnier and created drawings for daily newspapers including "L'illustration" and "Le Graphique".
Traces of a postmark; imprint of another postcard in different handwriting. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
