No. 1231 of 2000 numbered copies on Velin Mazarine. With autograph dedication and initials by the author on the title page: "To Madame Bruno Kreisky / in most respectful homage / LS / Salzburg, 5 February 1974". A fine and rare document from an international conference held in Salzburg in February 1974, where six heads of state and government met at Schloss Klesheim at the invitation of Austrian Federal Chancellor Bruno Kreisky to discuss North–South issues. The result was the “Salzburg Declaration,” emphasizing that the oil crisis was part of a broader complex of global problems. On this occasion the groundwork was also laid for Senghor’s opening address at the Salzburg Festival three years later.
Dust jacket slightly worn; otherwise a flawless, partly unopened copy, evidently unread by the dedicatee.
