Her golden Waterman Ideal Safety Fountain Pen.
Length 12,8 cm. English hallmark: 15-625.
A unique survival: Sarah Bernhardt's personal Waterman fountain pen, used during the last decade of her life, with her monogram "SB" engraved on the cap. Probably acquired in Britain, as evidenced by the Birmingham hallmark for imported gold plate.
Some wear. Provenance: According to an accompanying note, the pen was passed on to Sarah Bernhardt's physician and by him to his daughter. Includes a cabinet size photograph, depicting the great stage actress in her famous role as Napoleon II (Franz, Duke of Reichstadt) in Edmond Rostand's play "L'Aiglon".
