A brief letter to thank the painter and sculptor Jean-François Raffaëlli for a drawing: "Votre dessin est très beau. Je vous remercie".
The only known connection between the two artists is Raffaëlli's portrait of Rodin in his studio, done ca. 1889 in gouache, black chalk, and ink.
The dictated letter is dated Paris 28 May 1898, accepting a dinner invitation.
