Je serai samedi à l'heure que vous m'indiquez à Sydenham chez Mr Taylor. J'ai attendu tout ce temps pour vous répondre, dans l'espoir qu'on n’aurait pas réclamé l'accomplissement et une promesse donnée bien antérieurement à votre charmante invitation, mais on vient de le faire. Je vous reservai sans une doute, quelque jour de la semaine prochaine: le samedi soir, p. e., si vous étez chez vous ce jour-là. Milles amitiés à Roche [...]".
