Scenes of 1950s Mecca and Medina, capturing scenes of the Hajj and daily life in the two holy cities. A particularly striking shot shows the Kaaba at night, with lights burning around thousands of pilgrims, while another shows the tent city packed with visitors in traditional plain robes, with buses and people lined up to the horizon. Other photographs display the architecture of famous mosques and holy sites, as well as further scenes of worshippers.

Evidently the photographs were intended for a Persian Muslim audience, as their backing cardstock is marked "distributed in Iran". A lovely set.
