Highly interesting, intimate diary of the only 16-year-old actress, written a few months before the beginning of the principal photography for her sixth film, Ernst Marischka's first "Sisi" movie which would lauch her to stardom.
In her journal, addressed to an imaginary boyfriend, the artist adopts an enthusiastic tone: "Donnerstag, 17. Februar 1955. 'Mariengrund'. So - dies ist nun also mein erstes Tagebuch, - ich freue mich sehr! Ich bin ganz glücklich darüber! Braun, echtes Leder und sogar mit einem Goldrand. Ich finde es schön ein Tagebuch zu führen - so ganz für 'Dich' - selbst und allein ... Ich möchte dieses Tagebuch für einen Menschen schreiben - den ich sehr liebe - den ich einmal sehr lieben werde. 'Ihm' - soll es gehören, wenn alle diese schönen, feinen, weißen Seiten beschrieben sind. Wird es ihm Freude machen? Vielleicht ... Jetzt werde ich schlafen - wir sind gerade aus München angekommen […]".
Three photographs of "Mammy", "Daddy", and her "smelly little darling brother" have been removed, along with a few others, leaving only four in the album.
Edges and corners a little rubbed and bumped, otherwise well-preserved; interior flawless (save for the removed photographs). Signed on front endpaper; on the inside of the lower cover she quotes Nietzsche: "Ohne Musik wäre das Leben ein Irrtum".
