Classified maps of Saudi Arabia, prepared for military use by the U.S. National Imagery and Mapping Agency; stamped "for official use only". Large and incredibly detailed plans of Hofuf and Tabuk, the capital city of the Tabuk Region in northwestern Saudi Arabia, housing the largest air force base in Saudi Arabia. The present map depicts the entire air base in great detail, not omitting communication towers and training facilities including athletic fields and obstacle courses, along with Tabuk airport, the Emirate office, hospitals and utilities such as power plants and water reservoirs.
The map of Hofuf shows the major urban city in the Al-Ahsa Oasis in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, known for being one of the largest date producing areas in the world, and for its old markets and palaces. Accordingly, the map depicts Al Qusur al Malakiyah Royal Palace next to souqs and date markets, as well as the Aramco bulk plant and Saudi Arabian National Guard facilities.
In excellent condition.
