181st–185th edition, issued as part of the Collected Works published in individual volumes by S. Fischer between 1922 and 1935. With a seven-line autograph dedication in ink in the first volume: "To Mr. Martin Frankenthal, | compatriot | in friendly exile | affectionately dedicated | Stockholm, 12 Dec. 1929 | Thomas Mann" (transl.). Two days earlier, on 10 December, Thomas Mann had received the Nobel Prize in Stockholm from King Gustav V of Sweden.
