First edition; very rare. The first German-language work on money-lending institutions. Also treats life annuities, widows' and funeral funds, and lotteries.

Marperger worked at a Lyons trading firm and occupied himself with matters of trade and business life. He counts among the most productive and widely read authors of German Cameralism.

Upper spine end slightly damaged; edges slightly rubbed. Interior clean and evenly browned; endpapers with slight gluestain.
