Unusually complete and well-preserved magic kit, produced in the late 19th century, including a 32-piece miniature card deck (with one supersized card); one false-bottom dice board vase (turned ebony, with four dice); two false-bottom vase sets (one with red ball, the other with faux coins and hidden white powder; painted turned wood); one mock egg, hollowed and stuffed with red ribbon shreds; two iron nails for a hand-piercing trick; one strung wooden ball; one set of two strung wooden bars; one mock index finger (flesh-coloured wax), skewered on a large pin; one hand-coloured wooden box with false bottom; one top-slotted tin tube; one three-piece black cylinder-and-tube trick; set of small sheets of paper and an envelope, each wrapped in coloured paper; one magic wallet (cardboard and cloth ribbons, covered with coloured paper), and three magic wands, one elaborately tipped.

Several of the delicate paper bottoms of the compartments are torn, but overall in good condition; one or two tricks (and wands) probably not being part of the original set, but rather added to it later, as suggested by the want of compartment space.
