Rare first edition of this collection of neo-Latin verse. Contains several mentions of Brassicanus's friend Erasmus as well as of Hutten, whose "Nemo" had inspired the present verses (cf. G. Ellinger, Geschichte der nlat. Lit. Deutschlands im 16. Jh., vol. 1 [Berlin 1919], p. 441).

Trimmed rather closely at upper edge, occasionally touching headline. Slightly browned and fingerstained in margins; contemp. shelfmark to title page. Rare; the only copy in the last decades' trade was incomplete (1996: H&H 84, lot 175: DM 1,100 (modern boards, wanting final leaf).
