Design for an ivory letter opener with silver dedication plaque, to be gifted by the citizens' association of Vienna's 5th district on the occasion of the 50th birthday of the painter Joseph Sturm.
The pencil sketch of the plaque is executed on Wagner's printed stationery; the ink sketch on tracing paper, coloured with blue crayon, is torn through the middle and shows slight edge damage; both items show traces of paperclips.
