Kever, who devoted himself to landscape and genre painting as well as to etching and lithography, was associated with the Laren School and was a member of the artists' society "Arti et Amicitiae", his work frequently featuring scenes of peasant life as well as interiors.
Smudged ink spot and a few small creases. Self-addressed by the collector on the reverse. The Mecklenburg physician Scharlau (b. 1888) assembled a collection of artists' autographs by personal application.
