Curious early modern court records covering an on-site inspection and an extensive hearing of witnesses, conducted over several days and recorded verbatim, about malicious damage done to a dam or dyke in the northern German hamlet of Gnewitz near Rostock on the Baltic sea.

Some browning and staining throughout; sewing loosened in places. Last leaf reinforced on verso by an early owner. Well legible.
