Ottoman Turkish translation of the famous Persian dictionary "Tibyan-i nafi-yi tercüme-yi Bürhan-i kati" (also written "Terjume-i Burhan-i qati'") by Muhammad Husayn ibn Khalaf Tabrizi Burhan (1600-51). Translated from Persian into Turkish by Ahmet Asim (1757-1819), a well-known Ottoman author, politician, and prolific translator who also penned works on Ottoman history.

Text generally quite bright and clean. Pages 21-28 bound after p. 2; pp. 3/4 bound before p. 1. A handwritten note on the first leaf reads, "Tehran, ce 7 Mars 1840, 3 ducats".
