Rare illustrated guide to the Muslim pilgrimage, explaining the duties of the pilgrim and customs of the pilgrimage. Enriched with photographic images of the sights of the Hajj, including the Kaaba in Mecca, the Mosque of the Prophet, and the Quba Mosque in Medina, along with pilgrims' tents in Arafat and Muzdalifa. Prepared for a Turkish speaking audience by the imam Rahmi Senses (b. 1906), who served as a Qur'an lecturer among the primary teaching staff of the Istanbul Higher Islamic Institute for over a decade (1960-71). Senses published several works on religious, moral, social and Sufi subjects under various names, including a children's catechism.
