From the proceedings of the Second Arab Conference on Mineral Resources hosted by Saudi Arabia in Jeddah in 1974: a summary of the geology of Libya, one of the largest producers of oil in North Africa. Today, Libya's proven reserves are the largest in Africa, and its economy remains based around the petroleum industry, especially the production of light crude.

Three maps at the rear, printed in English and Arabic, are titled: "Tectonic framework of Libya after Conant and Goudarzi, 1966", "North-South cross section in western Libya showing stratigraphic and structural relations" (with a corresponding cross-section of eastern Libya, and another of the "Sirte embayment from Gulf of Sirte to Jabal Eghei"), and "Geologic map of Libya Simplified from Conant and Goudarzi (1964)".

Spine repaired, toning to maps, altogether in good condition.
