A collection of photographs showcasing Kuwait's growing oil industry and evolving cityscape around 1970, along with the nation's effort to strengthen international relations, depicting state visits of Kuwaiti officials to the United States and the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as foreign delegations visiting Kuwait in 1974.

The set includes fine images of oil operations at the Raudhatain and Burgan oil fields, the oil refinery at Ahmadi, tankers loading crude oil at Kuwaiti ports, and dune buggies hauling drilling rigs across the desert. Some historical city and street views depict the transformation of Kuwait city through modernist architecture, featuring prominent landmarks such as Salam Palace, Seif Palace, Kuwait Museum, the National Bank of Kuwait, Al-Sabah hospital, Fahad al-Salem Street and Kuwait University campus at Shuwaikh, which was established in 1966. Images of aircraft, classrooms and archaeological sites complete the picture.

A separate series of 7 press photographs, all captioned in Arabic on the reverse, addresses the role of Kuwait on the world stage in 1974, including His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah at the Seventh Arab Summit, the Kuwaiti Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, shaking hands with U.S. President Gerald Ford at the White House, and General Mubarak Al-Abdullah Al-Jaer Al-Sabah on an official visit to the Syrian Arab Republic, as well as the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Kamal Hossain, the Prime Minister of Lebanon, Takieddine Al-Solh, the Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Aziz Hegazy, and the Prime Minister of the Republic of Guniea, Luis Lansana Bovogui on official visits to Kuwait.
