With a three-line inscription in German by the German philosopher Marcuse (1894-1971), one of the contributors: "Für Felix Guggenheim / Vielleicht interessiert Sie das. Marcuse's article in this publication is "Heine and Marx: A History and a Legend" (pp. 110-124), wherein the author explores the connections between the German poet Heinrich Heine and Karl Marx.
From the library of the German-born publisher and literary agent Felix Guggenheim (1904-76), founder of the Los Angeles-based "Pazifische Presse", the only West Coast publisher for German writers in exile.
