A significant photo archive compiled towards the end of the Great War, comprising rare images from the Middle Eastern theatre and the Arab Revolt, including shots of Bersheeba after the battle of 31 October 1917, showing Turkish prisoners of war as well as destroyed stations.

The albums were compiled, respectively, by A. Davies, serving on the Honourable Artillery Company (HAC) from 18 July 1916 to 20 December 1919, Captain Claude Cousens, as well as an anonymous member of the 162nd Infantry Brigade. Among the most notable photographs appear army quarters in Aleppo, Aleppo street views, locomotives of the Constantinople-Baghdad railway, German army transports stationed at Nazareth, the rest billet at the German colony Wilhelma in Palestine, trips to Jerusalem, Nazareth, Nablus, Cairo, the Nile, the Pyramids, Alexandria, Kantara, Luxor, Philae and Aswan, the Holy Land, Iraq and Jordan, including such landmarks as the Church of Annunciation and St Mary's Well, the Lion of Babylon, and the ancient city of Petra, some images of what appears to be the Hejaz railway, along with an Assault-at-Arms demonstration at Zeitoun after the Armistice.
