Carnelvalszug in Votzdam. Programm.
Lithogr. leporello, c. 198 x 1450 mm. Fastened in somewhat later half calf portfolio.
Bibliographically unrecorded programme for an erotic Mardi Gras parade; the title contains a pun on the Prussian residence Potsdam and the German vulgar term for the vagina. All 18 illustrations show brief captions with tongue-in-cheek descriptions of the (non-)costumes. The fashion points to the 1860s, the language suggests Vienna as place of origin.
Reinforced tears and edge damage to title page; rather stained with traces of frequent handling.
