A scarce demographic study of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in the midst of the sweeping changes of the 20th century. Graphs and maps show the population growth rates, agricultural density, distribution of men and women and overall growth rate of Saudi cities, the distribution of sedentary versus nomadic populations, and much more. Altogether, an interesting snapshot of Saudi Arabia after the formation of the modern state and in the midst of the oil boom.

Beyond the pure data, this work discusses some of the contextual topics of population booms, such as nutrition and food production. An uncommon work, with only one copy listed in institutions on OCLC.
