Unpublished study on the rail network of Syria and Southern Anatolia (Cilicia) during the French mandate. Carefully prepared by a French engineer of the Army of the Levant, this account describes the extent of damage suffered by bridges and viaducts along the lines Homs-Tripolis, Aleppo-Adana and Aleppo-Nusaybin from allied bombing during the First World War - key elements of infrastructure and likely targets of military aggression. Enriched with remarkable original photographs of the severely damaged railway bridges between Tripolis and Homs, Kourt-Koulak and Katma, Kourt-Koulak and Radjou, Jerabulus and Zormara, as well as viaduct Héré-Déré, next to a carefully drawn map indicating the railroad network between Adana in the north and Jerusalem in the south, including portions of the Hejaz Railway.

An autograph postcard signed by Yves Beaumont, showing the officers of 53 Batallion SCF of the Army of the Levant, is loosely inserted, along with a few other images depicting Tripolis and Jarabulus stations, bombed railroads, and groups of local farmers.
