Extremely scarce report on the economic and social situation of Palestine and the Gaza Strip during administration by the then already-collapsed United Arab Republic, with a preface by Gamal Abdel Nasser. Published a year prior to the foundation of the Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO), the account portrays the plight of the Palestinian refugees, but also showcases the achievements of the UAR in the fields of education, infrastructure and medical care, with an photograph of an operating room in Al-Shifa Hospital. The other illustrations in the text include an image of Unknown Soldier square in Gaza city as well as military parades, administrative buildings, a busy factory, and a snapshot of a volleyball match. The cover shows the statue of the unknown soldier in Gaza's Al-Jundi al-Majhoul park, commemorating an unknown native Palestinian Arab soldier who died during the 1948 Arab-Israeli War and was buried on the site. The statue was pulled down following Israeli occupation of Gaza in 1967. The sketch on the last page shows a refugee mother with her children.

Extremities bumped, spine rubbed. Some minor tears and waterstains to lower cover. A single copy in library catalogues (at the National Library of Israel).
